Killer releasing in July1st week

Gadde Sindura’s Killer has wrapped up the post-production works and is finally gearing up for its release in the first week of July. Killer is being directed by Nagesh Naradasi and produced by Kiran on Srinivas Creations banner.

Director Nagesh informs that Killer is a suspense thriller made on forest backdrop and the film is inspired from a real life incident. Gadde Sindhura’s performance will be the highlight of the movie along with Sai Karthik’s music. Cinematography is by Madhu.K.Naidu while editing is by Nandamuri Hari.

Shafi, Tanikella Bharani, Ramireddy, Ravi Prakash, Vijay, Anil, Suman Shetty, et al played other prominent roles in Killer.

It’s Siddharth’s comeback film in Kollywood. Popular adfilm maker Jayendra’s first venture on screen and what more it has been shot mostly in foriegn locales. The songs are already topping the charts. So expectations are high on the movie. Check out what Nottrienbathu has in store for the audience.

Story

It is a the story that is set around Ajay (Siddharth). He comes to Kasi where his outlook on world and fear of death changes after he meets a young boy. He comes to Chennai and stays in a house owned by a couple S V S Murthy (Mouli) and Jayam (Geetha). He gets close with them. They treat him as his sons. A do-gooder, Ajay lives life with a purpose. He gets along with everyone well and his cool acts wions the admiration of everyone. Vidhya (Nithya Menon), a photo journalist gets acquainted with him. Ajay with the help of Vidya gets street children gets sponsorship for their education. His good hearts attracts Vidhya. Things take a tirn when she opens her to heart to him,. Ajay without informing her decides to leave Chennai. But Vidhya meets with an accident. Onus is on Ajay to get her back to health. Meanwhile a flashback reveals that AJay was a doctor in USA and was attracted to a fun-loving girl Renu (Priya Anand). They get married after romance only to get a rude shock in their life. Ajay is diagnosed of cancer and that he would die in few months. Cut to present, Ajay takes Vidya to USA for tratment. Did Ajay meet his wife in US? Did he accept Vidhya in his life? All unfolds in the second half.

Performance

It’s a superb show by Siddharth. The young actor has proved that he is versatile enough to handle tough roles and deliver it with aplomb. He is cool and casual in the first half. Bubbly and charming he is. His romantic escapades are interesting. Nithya Menon, with her girl next-door looks is perfect foil for the role. Prioya Anand plays her role with aplomb. Sri Charan as Siddharth’s friend deserves a mention. Mouli walks away with aplause for his portrayal. The cast includes Geetha, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Thanikala Bharani and Janaki Sabesh.

Analysis

Jayendra starts to leave an impression with his visual in the first frame itself. The story or the narration may be very familiar, but the catchy dialogues and he sequence penned by Jayendra along with writers Subha is good. The nose for details and the execution of emotional scenes especially the thoughts of a youth all set to face his death are brought out well. The first half is racy and interesting while the latter part drags a bit.

Technicalities

Three cheers Jayendra for choosing an excellent crew behind the camera. Balasubramaniam’s camera is the backbone. The visuals especially the manner in which he captured the song Rules Kidayathu is stunning. The landscapes of Kasi and then USA are captured well. Sharreth’s music is another highlight. Sophisticated and mesmerising are the tunes. Jayendra and Subha have penned the story in such a way that there are no logical lapses.

Box Office Prediction

It is a movie that is rich, suave and stylish. There are enough emotional elements in it. But the fact is that it is too sophisticated for a common man to identify himself with the film.

Ram Charan’s Khaidi remake details!

It is known that Khaidi remained as a milestone in Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s career and the star has also admitted that in many interviews. Now, the remake of Khaidi is on cards and Ram Charan is likely to take up this project very soon. The 1983 blockbuster has Madhavi as the female lead and is directed by Kodandarami Reddy.

The remake version of Khaidi will be produced by Atchi Reddy on Max India Productions banner. If everything goes well, the Khaidi remake will hit the sets in 2011 end. Other details of the film along with a formal announcement are expected soon.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music for Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh

Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh in the direction of Harish Shankar will hit the floors soon after Power Star wraps up the shoot of his Kaali. Kajal Agarwal is likely to play the female lead, reprising the role of Sonakshi Sinha in the original.

Devi Sri Prasad has been zeroed in to compose the tunes for Gabbar Singh and currently, the music sittings are being carried in Devi Sri Prasad’s studio in Chennai. DSP has earlier scored music for Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa that remained as a musical hit. Expectations are high on the combo as the original version (Dabangg) too was a big musical hit.

Harish Shankar has wrapped up the script work of the film along with the dialogues and narrated the final script to Pawan Kalyan recently. Power Star is said to be impressed and excited on Gabbar Singh project.

Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh is slated for a release for Pongal 2012.

Prabhas cousin Siddharth Rajkumar’s Keratam details

Siddharth Rajkumar, yet another hero from Rebel star Krishnam Raju’s family is marking his debut with a film titled Keratam with a tagline ‘The Way of Youth’. Interestingly, Siddharth RajKumar’s debut film is a trilingual one releasing in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions simultaneously and he is the only actor who bagged the record of debuting in three industries at the same time.

Keratam is being directed by Gautham Patnaik and produced by popular Kannada producer SV Babu on A V Productions banner. Keratam is currently in post-production works and will reach the big-screens in July. The audio is likely to hit the stands in June.

According to director Gautham Patnaik, Keratam is youthful family entertainer. Aishwarya is playing the leading lady in the movie.

Other prominent roles in the film are essayed by Pradeep, Alok, Yathiraj, Suman, Venu Madhav, Bheemineni Srinivas Rao, Kavitha, Yamuna.

Simbu in Mani Ratnam film ?

Kollywood rumourmongers say that Mani Ratnam will direct Simbu in a complete entertainer. Simbu is currently busy with three films: Vignesh Shiva’s Podaa Podi, Dharani’s Osthi and Vettai Mannan.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that the director will soon launch actor Karthik’s son Gautham in his upcoming project. Reportedly the film is an urban love story which will also have Arya in a prominent role. The film will be completely shot in cosmopolitan cities with a major portion being filmed in London. Music director A.R. Rahman will be a part of this project.
